Sang Roberson’s work is greatly influenced by her love of nature and its soft organic forms. She grew up on a lake in the Mississippi Delta, where she was surrounded by natural beauty. Her goal in her art is to recreate the simple, serene shapes of nature. Her fondest wish is that her designs offer peace and tranquility to others. Sang has exhibited her clay sculptural forms at the Smithsonian Craft Show and in galleries and museums throughout the US as well as in Europe and South America. Roberson is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, our nation’s highest award for artists. She maintains studios in Florida and New Mexico.
